Our 'Sunday School' assignments continued this week with a challenge to interpret the idea of Reflection.

In these momentous times we are being asked to examine who we are and where we stand, and the superb caliber of this week's entries mirrored the diverse talent of our students past and present.

As always, judging was difficult, but we finally settled on Brian G. as the winner for his complex, multi-layered image, which draws in the eye and rewards closer inspection.

Congratulations to Brian who receives a $50 SoL gift voucher, which we hope to see him redeeming soon, as we begin our steps toward a safe reopening.

The latest in our series of ‘Sunday School’ assignments challenged our talented photography students to interpret the concept of Simplicity, and boy, did we get a brilliant response!

Tapping into the range of emotions we're all experiencing during the current pandemic, we were flooded with entries displaying technical and aesthetic originality of a very high standard that made judging anything but simple.

Congratulations, and a $50 SoL gift certificate go to Monika S. for her winning entry which we found both beautiful and unsettling.

Interior Motive

Amazon's critically acclaimed detective series Bosch returned to screens in the US in April for its sixth season. Based on the bestselling books by Michael Connelly, the show has been rightly praised for the authenticity of its LA-based settings and Andrew Hall was proud to supply two large pieces for several scenes set in a modernist Los Angeles interior.

Produced to order, the photographs compliment the meticulous upscale sets perfectly, adding to the sense of tasteful luxury demanded from this part of the story.
