Photograms Workshop / October 7
Photograms Workshop / October 7
Some of the very first photographic images were photograms, and their creative potential as a method of creating beautiful images in the darkroom remains powerful and relevant.
With no need for a camera, or film, photograms are photography at its purest. Using objects placed directly onto photographic paper under an enlarger in the darkroom, allows the creation of mesmerizing images, the possibilities of which are limited only by your imagination.
Translucent glass seems to bend and float, 3D objects are abstracted into surreal shapes, as they shape the light and shadows they cast.
Friendly, hands-on instruction and all photographic materials will be provided, along with a buffet lunch and refreshments to fuel the day’s fun in our state of the art darkroom and studio.
No previous photographic experience is necessary, you don’t even need to bring a camera!
