Photograms Workshop / June 2 & 3
Photograms Workshop / June 2 & 3
Photograms have been around longer than cameras. Pioneers such as Fox-Talbot proved the principles of light-sensitive chemicals by laying plants onto coated paper, which recorded their delicate shapes when exposed to sunlight.
During this weekend workshop we will explore the unrivalled ability of photograms to depict the shape of things and use their shadows, forms and relative translucency to create powerful imagery.
We will also experiment with creating our own ‘Photogram Negatives’ to make abstract images that can be enlarged and reprinted.
No previous darkroom experience is required, and price includes all darkroom materials and friendly, experienced instruction.
