Film Stories / January
Film Stories / January
This new class is aimed at photographers who have mastered the foundation principles of shooting film and working in the darkroom.
Using our newly expanded darkroom facilities and innovative, passionate instruction, we'll explore the role of the narrative in creating a series of expressive and powerful photographs.
Influenced by the masters of the photo-essay, students will asked to apply their own aesthetic to a challenging semester of assignments designed to elevate the expressive power of their film photography.
We'll look at fine art photo papers, toning, and display techniques to enhance students' work culminating in an exhibit at the SoL gallery, which will be open to the public.
All materials except film will be provided.
