This completely new class will introduce photographers of all levels to the building blocks of effective black and white photography.

Through a blend of challenging, practical assignments, hands-on darkroom work and theoretical insight, this class will propel your photography to a new level of expression and meaning.

We will examine the fundamental laws of composition, using shape and line to give emphasis; and learn how to balance texture and tone within an image to give powerful expression to our photographic aesthetics.

Backed by our peerless darkroom facilities, with access to a wide range of materials and equipment, this is the college class you wish you'd taken.
